COVID-19 Introduction & Service Arrangements

Lewisham Safeguarding Children Partnership is aware that these are unprecedented and potentially disturbing times for children and families. We would like to let you know that all safeguarding partners are continuing to work closely together to offer high quality services to keep children safe in Lewisham during the COVID-19 period. Please keep the following key points in mind:

  • If you are worried that a child is in immediate danger, please contact emergency services (Police, Fire, Ambulance) on 999.
  • If you are worried about the safety or welfare of a child, however the child is not in immediate danger, please contact Lewisham MASH:

  • If you are worried about a child during the evening or on the weekend, please contact Lewisham Emergency Duty Team on 020 8314 6600. Remember, if you are worried that a child is in immediate danger at these times, please call 999.

Lewisham Children’s Social Care, CAMHS & KOOTH

Lewisham Children’s Social Care will continue to receive new referrals and work with families already receiving a service during the COVID-19 period. However, Children’s Social Care will be operating a revised service and will be supported by the Family Information & Support Service, as outlined by the Executive Director for Children & Young People HERE.

Lewisham Child & Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) and free online counselling service KOOTH continue to operate services to support the mental health and emotional well-being of children and young people in Lewisham. Please see this letter from the Lewisham Executive Director of Children & Young People for further details of the services that Children’s Social Care, CAMHS and KOOTH are currently operating to support children in Lewisham during the COVID-19 period.
